Resume
Roberto de Sousa Causo has stories published in Brazil, Canada,
China, the Czech Republic, France, and Portugal. His essays and
reports also appeared in the United States and in Scotland. In
Brazil he had his stories printed in the Brazilian versions of
the magazines Playboy and Asimov's Science Fiction.
He edits fanzines, organizes conventions, researches and criticizes
science fiction and fantasy for the Brazilian professional media.
With Bruce Sterling he moderates the RGP distribution list, concerned
with global SF. Since 1989 he is the Brazilian correspondent for
Locus - The Newspaper of the Science Fiction Fields. Some of his essays
have appeared in the academic journal Extrapolation.
The fiction he writes goes from hard SF to heroic fantasy, magic
realism and dark fantasy.
As an editor he worked in the assembling of the anthologies Dinossauria
Tropicalia (about dinosaurs) and Estranhos Contatos (with SF about UFOs).
